i just got the magneto plugin to warm up my tracks.........my question is, do you use it for individual tracks or as just an overall mastering device or as both? i've only used it as a final mastering method.........so far i've used it on 2 tracks.......one i felt like i could really tell, on the other one, however, it wasn't near as obvious......i'm not sure if i really heard a difference or just tricked myself into thinking that i hear a difference.............any input as to how you guys use it would be great...........also, some of your settings for different uses that i could mess around with would be great.........

u can use it for tracking or ur mix bus use ur ears to decide. As far as how to use it its not hard at all u have a 'Drive' fader which drives the signal to (virtual) tape which is supposed to give u more boom in ur lows. u have the ability to change from 15ips to 30ips; 15 ips is good for music with lots of lowend while 30ips is better for songs w/o as much. u have something to add more high end because u lose some of it when driving to (virtual) tape. Thats it.

But if ur looking for a better warmer check out PSP Vintage Warmer i like it much better then magneto and its also a compressor/Limiter and EQ for the same price as magneto 149.99  and the presets can be useful also
