Seller offering 2 Quantegy 456 ¼” x 1200 feet tapes for a Buy-It-Now of $100.00 PLUS SHIPPING COST!!! Seriously?

(Yup, you saw that right… two 7-inch tapes on plastic reel) :wtf: :facepalm:

But he does allow for Best Offers.

So my best offer was to, “Not drive to Michigan and beat your face into an unrecognizable bloody pulp if you remove this listing and stop selling activities on eBay altogether.”

I doubt he’ll get a better offer. :D

I have not yet heard back.

And don’t forget to drop a note to these people like the "Flower Pot Guy" and tell them why you won’t trade with them and that you’re letting everyone else you know on recording and music related forums about the harm they do to the analog tape community by raising the average asking price of components and tape. We can’t afford to ignore them. But remember... be nice and professional in your correspondence with them. :)

Can't stand Flower Pot Guys prices. He has some TEAC/Tascam Rack gear I could seriously put to good use.

My favorite thing "Flower Pot Guy" has right now is the "Tascam 244 Carrying Bag, Vintage Unit" for $156. If you're serious about taking care of your 244, you better jump on this, because it's ON SALE! It's been marked down from $195! What a deal!
 
Im tired of flower pot guy (9guitar) too. Idiotic pricing. People DO need to get the word not to deal with gougers like that.

I went to a guys house last week to look at some vintage stuff (non Tascam). His prices were way too high. When I questioned his thinking in the pricing he picked up his laptop and showed me a 9guitar auction on eBay for the same thing. I just laughed and left.
