Hate to say it, but from a quick scan it appears to be a pretty powerful package for $80.
I see it supports VST, but it's not clear whether DX is supported or VSTi's or DXi's.
Still, if I were starting out today I would give this a serious look.

Doesn't seem too bad.
The interface does seem a little "childish", IMO. Definatley doesn't have the feel of Sonar, Auditon and the like.
But deep down, Mackie was going for just that. It's prices relativley cheap, for starters. And it appears thats exactly what the interface is tailored to.
I, personally, am not a big fan so far. I prefer the interface of Sonar, Audition and the like.
I imported 7 tracks with ease, but it was difficult for me get the effects settings just right.
I'll play around with it some more tonight...

I dunno if I'd say "goodby to the learning curve" like mackie does. I found the demo to be a little confusing, but I'm a little slow sometimes...
