Mackie SR24.4...blown, I think

I've owned an SR24.4 for about 6 months. Bought it second hand, everything worked perfectly. It had only had light use with it's previous owner, and the same with me. Every channel was tested thoroughly, there were no problems at all.

This afternoon...well, it decided to stop working. 8 channels were in use, just monitoring from an HD24, levels were all fairly low. All of a sudden the -20 and OL lights on every channel lit up, the rude solo light came on, and my monitors sounded like they were going to explode.

There's no problem with the HD24, tested it with another desk and it's fine. When I turn the Mackie on now (nothing connected except the power cord) the same lights are on permanently: OL AND -20 on every channel, rude solo light, power light. Nothing is connected, so I'm assuming there was some kind of power surge? I've checked the fuse and it looks fine, tried it with differents power cords but it's the same every time. Has anyone had this problem before? I'm in London, does anyone know someone in England who might be able to have a look at the desk and find out what's gone wrong? Or do I have to contact Mackie?

Thanks in advance for any replies,

Si

I would definitely contact Mackie as soon as possible. It sounds like a problem with the outboard power supply and not your board. I don't think Mackie makes the greatest power supplies. I really hope it's the PSU and not the board, much less expensive to fix. Best of luck though, that's a fun mixer.

I know this thread is pretty old now... But I have a Mackie mixer (SR 32-4 VLZ Pro) with the exact same symptoms. If the OP resolved the issue, I'd love to know how.
