Onyx mixers direct outs are pre-EQ (why couldn't Mackie be like A&H and Soundcraft and make them switchable) but here's a thread where this guy is going to come up with a mod. Just thought I'd pass this on...

Yeah I just picked up a little 1220 on ebay yesterday over a new 400F and I'm all over that mod like ugly on a ape. The one thread listed is pretty much all talk though. This one has the nitty gritty details - my hats off to that fellow. To me, this is a simple and much less expensive solution than what some companies are charging to do it. This do-it-yourself mod (if you're capable) has made these little mixers worth it to me now. Sorry Warhead.

Notice the Eq option. Warren has the mod available with out voiding your warentee.
