I'm a big fan of the Mackie monitor (so shoot me). When I used these in a rented studio I thought they sounded fantastic. Well, if anyone has noticed, Behringer has a knockoff that looks almost identical and has nearly the same specs. And, at 150 watts low, 75 watts high, they are quite juicy in the power range. (same as Mackies)
My question is this... has anyone had any hands on with the Behringer monitors. They are 1/2 the price of the mackie, and if they are close i sound quality, I think I may buy a pair. Check out the freq resp on the web page... flat as a pancake down to 50hz. I think the Mackies go down to 42 or so before dropping off.
Like I said, the Mackies were great, I just want to know how they compare. Can anyone HELP?
Peace.
