I'm hoping someone could give me some help with figuring this out...
I saw this auction posted on Ebay:
Brand New NEVER USED MACKIE Micro Series 1202-VLZ 12 Channel Mic/Line Mixer. Owners manual original Box. Please E-mail with any questions.
I won the auction and had the item shipped to my in-laws. According to my Father In-Law, the mixer came - but it isn't a 1202-VLZ PRO. Granted, this was my mistake, but I assumed that since this was a "brand new never used" mixer, it had to be the PRO - at least I thought it had to be. Didn't they stop making the 1202-VLZ a long time ago? Secondly, what are the differences between the PRO and non-PRO version.
Anyway, even more disturbing then this is that this "Brand New NEVER USED" was shipped in its original box - it was not placed in a second box for shipping - with only a few peanuts on the top and on the bottom. Does this seem odd to anyone else? Aside from the fact that this person clearly didn't give two shits about packing the item safely, don't these units have stryofoam around them?
What would you guys do in this situation? Granted, I haven't had a chance to see if the thing works, and it could very well work fine. But still - I am a bit concerned with the condition of this thing off the bat...
Any thoughts?
