Anybody have this? Im thinking about getting it, It'll be my first mixer so Im looking for some thoughts on it..

For a first mixer, it's a pretty good choice - decent pre-amps, fairly quiet, and easy to control your gain structure. Even when you've moved on to bigger and better things, you'll still get use out of it (as a drum or keyboard sub-mixer, for example), as Mackie's gear tends to hold up pretty well. Enjoy it.

It's a great little mixer. The only thing to really compare with it is the Soundcraft M series. Many pros prefer the soundcraft preamps and EQ. But the Mackie will definately get the job done.

Make sure you try ebay and whatever first. You can find decent deals. I just bought a used Mackie 1202, in the box, plastic and with manual to use for headphone mixes while tracking for over $100 less than anyone else had it for new.
If you can go with the M-series though, I say go for it.

Ill look on Ebay today, thanks for the thoughts & ideas.
