It connects via Midi in/out only.

i see.
looking at it i see no ins on it. would i have to record with something else (i currently use an m-audio delta 1010lt) then i would use this to do all the post-tracking editing? thanks.

steve

ps, i take it this can be used to edit both midi and audio? thanks

Well you can use the Mackie while tracking, remember it is a software controller. Just record like you normally do and the instead of using your mouse and keyboard you use the MCU, and yes you can edit Midi with the MCU.......

oh yeh i understand, but what i mean is i wouldnt use it like i use my current mixer for. thats great, thanks for your help carter. i never knew that you could control audio as well as midi and all the other functions thru a midi cable. is this how it works?
