Hi,
I have a Mackie 802-vlz3 mixer, i'm trying to set it up for a home studio. I have read the manual inside oout but still cant seem to get any sound through an audio channel in Ableton. I'm trying to record guitar/mic/keyboard etc. How I understand it should work is for eg, Guitar in line 1, rca cable from Tape Out(mixer) to the Input on my Behringer UCA222 soundcard which is connected to my Dell studio xps (win 7). I open Ableton change all the audio preferences to read from the soundcard but I still cant get any action.
I'm new to all this stuff so it probably just something simple im mising.
Any ideas would be extremely helpful this is getting pretty pretty frustrating.

it must be something to do with my pc. The mixer works perfectly (i can use it in every other way, PA etc) and the soundcard too, my problem is getting a live signal through to my pc. When I plug in the soundcard the option comes up to change my audio settings. So I change audio input settings to read from my soundcard and leave the audio output settings as normal for now. I thought this should work, but I still cant get any signal/feed, through Ableton, Audacity etc.
Maybe my soundcard isnt compatible with my mixer? I'm not sure
