Hey im interested in getting a macbook
Link here..

2.0GHz Intel Core Duo
• 13.3-inch WXGA display
• 512MB of DDR2 memory

• SuperDrive DVD drive
• Apple Remote
• Built-in iSight camera

- This will be my first mac, will this run protools/cubase properly? I'm use to the PC and frequently get tired of it. So im switching to mac. Will this be a good choice?

Yes its a good choice. You won't have to wait long for Cubase as SX4's release is imminent (Ok Cubase users- don't laugh). Pro tools LE is fine and Logic is always an option. Best of luck to you.

p.s. get more than 512mb ram- you will need it no matter which program you choose.

Only if you have Digidesign hardware (or ProTools M-Powered)

Only M-powered/LE, there is no HD hardware for laptops

Or LE - Mbox, Mbox2, 002, and 002R will work with Pro Tools LE on that system.

I was talking about LE hardware, such as MBox

Cubase 4 has already been released.

Regardless of that, I'm pretty sure it will still run under Rosetta. I loaded it and used it on my Macbook once or twice before I sold it.

But it didn't say if it was compatible with Intel-based Macs. At least I didn't see that, if it did.

Anyone know?

It's vague at best- I couldn't tell.
