I am getting ready to get started with either a Pro-tools LE 7 rig or a Cubase SL3 rig. I am leaning towards pro-tools since it is the industry standard and I want to have it under my belt for potential jobs down the line.
A guy told me the other day, it is essential that I get a Mac for Pro-tools (or any other musical editing/recording software), since MAC runs these types of multitasking programs much better.
How accurate is that statement ? I have a very high quality HP laptop that according to Digidesign, should work just fine for Pro-Tools 7 LE.
Any thoughts on this Mac vs. PC issue ? Thanks !
