Hey folks, how's it going? I just got my hands on a MOTU 1224 core system, and I'm running it on a beige G3 Mac with Digital Performer 3. I need to know what is the best configuration for connecting it to my Mackie 32x8 Mixer? I'd like to be able to record 8 tracks at once without constantly plugging and unplugging cables if possible but I can't seem to find the answers to my questions in my manuals. I'm about to scratch a hole in my head trying to figure this out and I bet it's something simple! All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

John, sorry I don't have an answer for you. I was just interested as to why you chose to go with an hardware mixer instead of a software mixer ...like cake walk etc.

Well thanks to the lack of responses to my question it just made me troubleshoot a little harder and I have solved my own problem. I just come out of the tape outs on the mixer and go into the 8 ins on the Motu 1224.
And the reason why I use the Mackie board is because I had it before I went digital. Its the board I learned audio engineering on, it has plenty of inputs and it sounds great.
