I recently purchased a Mackie SDR to use on the road for multitrack recording. I have been using an Alesis M20 at home and love the 99 locates and keypad input. I ran a midi cable from the midi out of the M20 to the midi in on the SDR trying to use the mmc from the M20 to control the SDR. The SDR only has four locates. Iwas able to use the M20 to control the SDR, but only if I have a tape installed in the M20. Is there a way to send the mmc signal from the M20 to the SDR without having to load a tape into the M20? Thanks
