you'll have to forgive me if this question is stupid - i'm a "newbie"

After i've recorded that song, converted it to a wav file and sent it to my computer using the USB port, the song is nearly inaudible on my computer...is there a way i can fix this?

I've tried putting the volumes up all the way when bouncing the tracks to 7-8, and also when converting to a wav file...it helped a little, but still not much.

any help is appreciated

Are you saying that it is inaudible because the volume is too low?
If so check the volume settings of your computer. Also to see if it has something to do with mixdown to wav on the MR-8 try transferring one track at a time and see what the volume is. There are more knowledgeble folks on here than me. They will be replying soon. Until then try what I said and get back with us if it is inaudible because something other than volume.

Rick, right click on the yellow speaker icon and open the volume controls. The icon can be found on the bottom right corner of your task bar.

im not talking about the sound on my computer, i have all the levels maxed out. I'm thinking that the problem is either when bouncing the tracks to tracks 7 and 8 or when i'm converting to a wav file. Does anyone know if it matters if the levels are maxed on the MR-8 when preforming these functions?

That is when the levels are pretty critical because that's what is supposed to be the "mastering" phase of the operation. This is when the MR8 allows you to bring the individual tracks in or out to taste for your final mix. I'd say get those levels up and re-mix it.

Make sure that the master volume fader is up high enough or else the wave volume will definitely be too low. I have made this mistake myself once of twice.
