Guitar User.
i got the M audio USB transit card as a rebate deal from guitar center and it came in the mail today. now i installed the drivers and rebooted and all the crap they said i should do with it and it records great! no problems with that at all, the only thing i am having trouble with is it will not let me hear through the monitors other than to play back what i recorded no sound comes through the headphones  which means i cannot hear myself play! do any of you guys know what to do on these things? i am using windows XP and Cool Edit Pro as well as Audacity. the recordings are fine but play back while recording sucks  HELP!

Try Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Audio.
Is Transit selected as your default audio device?

yeah it is. the weird thing is this. in the first hour of recording with it i had no problems other than it would not let me hear...... three hours later after taking a break i came back and tried to lay down a track on my guitar  well i had no input, then i had no sound just a little in the right side level other than that NOTHING  so i layed down a few seconds of audio and the played it back. got a pop up window that said the audio format was unplayable   what the heck is up with this dumb thing?
