M-Audio Tampa Volume Knob Issue...

I got signal but when I move the knob and nothing happens, any Suggestions?

The input gain (I don't think the Tampa has a volume knob - If it does, it probably feeds a headphone output or something along those lines)?

I hate to ask stupid questions, but (A) you have it on "mic" -- (B) you have phantom power applied (if you're using a condenser) -- (C) you're not using some sort of XLR-1/4" connector or anything silly like that...?

I think he has had that for a while...Id check all connections...cables and try another mic...you just may have to take it in for service...could just be a bad pot.

yeah,it is the Gain Knob.
(a)yes, it is on "MIC"
(B)yes,phantom power is ON (I was trying with the 4050 and the KTK
(C) i used two different XLR Cables

Thanks Darrin.As I said , i checked with 2 different Mics and Cables, i think that is just the Pot, do you think that would be expensive to fix it?

Pots don't usually fail in that manner... I think it's something else. How do you know you have signal? Registering on the input metering?

I've noticed on my Tampa, I usually have the 20 db switch on and run it at around 2 or 3 oclock when using my 4050.
It also seems like the metering barely moves.

I thought I'd get more needle jumping but haven't had any problems...(except for a scratchy gain pot. )
