Anyone had any experience with M-Audio Quattro? I was thinking of using it to record off my mixer with my laptop with GT3. Can't use a PCI card on my laptop and I like the 4 ins on the quattro which plugs into USB. I noticed it was rated kinda low on the musicians friend site and wondered if anyone has had any problems with it. I've got a new laptop P4 3.0 with the funky sound card and 1/8" line in. Thanks....I just don't want to get it and find out it has problems.

The Quattro has been plagued with issues since its introduction. The drivers have been less than stable. If you actually get it to work, you are limited to 16/44.1 when recording 4 tracks at a time because USB cannot handle the data throughput required for 4 tracks of 24/96 audio. If you need to record more than 2 tracks at a given time, I suggest you look into a PC-Card or Firewire interface instead.
