I've been using an M-Audio Delta-1010-based Omni IO box for a couple of years. I just got a soundfont I wish I could use with my Finale setup. Any chance I can get my wish without changing soundcards? Thanks...
Only Creative cards natively run soundfonts... but you don't need them.
Use any soundfont-playing VSTi like rgcaudio.com "sfz" or "BS-16" from Bismark. Other sampler plugins like GigaStudio and Kontact will also read the sf2 soundfont files.
I use both "sfz" and "BS-16". I used to keep an SBLive in my computer just to run soundfonts but dumped it when I tried out the above VSTi's and found that the sound was BETTER than running thru an SBLive....
