M-Audio Mobilepre USB and a Alesis QS8.2 synth Keyboard

Ok guys, I need your help again. I have the money saved up... about $2000 dollars canadian. I wanted to get an Yamaha S90 but that costs too much so I decided to go with the QS8.2 keyboard cause I needed 88 hammer action keys... I am planning to buy the MobilePre USB soundcard thing to go with it. The reason why I would want to get this soundcard is because it has mic preamps and I dont really have the money to buy a microphone pre-amp. . Would this be a good combo together if I were to use it to record live music? How would I connect the two things together? like would I use the 1/4 jack?

I realize the M-audio Mobilepre USB doesnt have Midi input/outputs but I have a SBlive soundcards that would give me those.
