Hard to say anything, I don`t know Luna, B-1 is OK.

I don't know B-1, Luna is OK. It's heavy, that's for sure. Kind of warm sounding, not hyped. If you want something really airy and crisp, it's not the one. If you want something smoother sounding, it's pretty good.

Well..currently i got an Apex 435. in one word it: sucks!
the reason being is because it has an horrible high end. and picks up unwanted vocal noises that is very hard to deal with once recorded. so thats why i wanted to know if B1 or Luna would make a good/big difference from this Apex one..

I considered those mics also... B1 is loved the luna not too many peeps I know have one. If you go for the B1, make sure that it has the PAD switch and roll off.

FYI I went to GC and the guy there let me try the RODE NT1a, and it was perfect for me. I do Voice-overs. My girl sings and she sounds good on the NT1a. I had an AT3035 and sold it after picking this up.

The B1's are supposed to have a pad switch now? I'll check with the store tomorrow..thanks.

I've got both, and the B1 significantly outperforms the apex in terms of high frequency sounds, and detail. Its a good mic. It's not my first choice for vocals (i find the B1 a bit 'gritty'), but it doesnt suck either.
