M-Audio Interfaces for live

Hi, mi name is punkoteloco and im fairly new to recording and live sound. The thing is that i want to make live sound for a band and i also want to record. I was asking if it would be possible through my computer. I have 2 gig of memory and a dual core pentium. Im planning on buying a M-Audio Octane and the project mix I/O. My main concern is the latency. Would be possible to record and monitor the show???

Are you wanting to use vsts or plugins for the live performance? What do you mean by monitor?

Sorry about "monitor". Im argentinian so my english is not that good. What i meant to say is that i want to record the show also so i can mix it later in my home.
