I'm a beginner just wanting to start out in home recording, so I got the M Audio DUO ($150 new) which has been working great for me. (i'm using a laptop with no firewire port on it) I didn't want to get the Quattro b/c 1. i've heard many people had problems with it and 2. the quality would not be as good using all 4 input. However, now that I have used the DUO for a month or so, I've had the urge to record 4 tracks at once (for a live band recording). Is it possible to get another DUO, still record @ the high quality setting and record 4 tracks @ once? forgive my ignorance...
i know i'll probably get replies saying i should just upgrade to a better card...however, as or right now, i don't have the budget for it, so i just want to know if the above will work. Thanks everyone for your help.
