hi all im a recording novice with only a cheapy home recording setup of an m-audio duo usb soundcard into cubase.
My question is about connecting my keyboard to my computer for midi controlling. I understand i can go through the joystick port of my inbuilt pc soundcard, but am worried that as i use my duo as the soundcard this may not work. will it just be a case of finding the relavent option in cubase? or is there a chance it wont work.
also if going through the joystick port, will it be fast, or is it worth getting something like a usb to midi converter
sorry if these questions are all a bit dumb, but i find setting up midi in cubase awefully confusing! and thanks for any help!
