Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about this Pre? Looking for one to go with my soon to arrive Delta 44 i figured this might be a good choice. If its nice i might have to get 2 and have 4 nice pre's going into the 4 ins on the 44.....

just about everyone has something good to say about this pre! Do a quick search and you'll see ;)

It sports nice clean, clear gain that's unbeatable for the price per channel. It also has switchable, built-in phantom power and phase inversion switches on each channel. You can't go wrong with a DMP-3!

Sounds excellent. You're right i was looking around and couldn't find much bad about it. Think it should be an improvment over the pre in my digi 4 track and also the ones in my behringer mixer lol. Ive had nice results with an SM58 so far(for screaming mostly) will a nicer pre-amp aid getting a nice sound for this?

A nice preamp will always help the sound of your mics.

The DMP3 is a very good pre for the price. Tons of clean gain.

I definitely like mine and still use it on some tracks even though I have more expensive pres--especially good on acoustic guitar.

Well, it's not an Avalon, but it doesn't cost $2500, either. I have lots of better pres, but I still find uses for it. In the studio, I use it for talkback mics. In the remote setting, it's a front end for my little Korg PXR-4, and for serious remote recording, where I do pack the Avalon, I also pack the DMP-3 as a backup pre for a worst case scenario. It is not a great pre, but it is a good pre for a great price.-Richie

Well it sounds good, i certainly dont plan on spending 2500 on a pre anytime soon lol. One question though, it doesn't appear to have a peak meter, doesn't this cause a problem??

Doesn't for me.

They seem very good although relatively overpriced over here. Well, maybe not overpriced, but ridiculously marked-up.
