Just puchased a 1010lt which was bundled with Abelton Live. Given that you have used this combination do you have any thoughts or issues to share?

Well I loaded the Ableton that came with my 44 & I couldn't figure out how to drive the damn thing. Do you need a keyboard or what? Pissed me off in the end so I uninstalled that fucker out of there

my copy is sitting here on CD... I have heard a few good things about it, but for now I am sticking with Cubase and haven't even installed it.

I must be too old for this, Ableton doesn't make any sense to me either!

From what I've read ......

Alberton should be a lot like ACID.

It should have its own explorer window and you should be able to drag and drop files into a "track" and then "paint the loops to length.

It should have a set of transport buttons to start/stop/pause the playback and the options menu will route the output.

I believe its intended to be a looping program as opposed to a true multitracking program ..... as is ACID.

I dont actually own it (I do have ACID) but have read a few reviews and articles about it.

You should only need a keyboard if you want to play vSTinstruments live into the program (or live THRU the program).
