M-audio AV40

[Unto The Sky]

So I'm looking into a set of monitors and these fit nicely into my budget, I know they're not gonna be amazing, but I just need something better than my current creative 5.1 surround setup *hangs head in shame*.

I can afford to spend more, but not loads more -

So are these a good choice for my price range or can i get better for a similar price?

I've never tried them, but some people say they're bad, and some say they're good. I think you should be able to get a decent mix on them.
