New soundcard, new OS. Using Windows XP and it will not allow installation of soundcard because the driver is not "digitally signed." I used the CD-ROM in soundcard pack. Went to M-Audio site and dowloaded a driver but it was also not digitally signed.

I sent an email to M-Audio, but I hear they are notoriously slow and/or ineffective. Any tips? Thanks.

That's really wierd that you can't install the driver becuase it's not digitally signed.

Are you sure XP didn't allow you to install it?
or just didn't recommend it?

It didn't recommend it, so I went ahead with process but it wouldn't install. Tried several times.

just beacause it isnt digitally signed doesnt mean you cant install it anyway- it will ask you- "this ____ isnt digitally signed. would you like to proceed anyway?"(or somthing to that affect) just say yes- make sure whatever account you are signed in under in Windows XP allows you full admin priviliges

try posting the exact error message you get...or a screen shot

I had problems getting my Audiophile to work under XP - it conflicted with my ATI All-In-Wonder card. I eventually succeeded in makeing them live together. But all of my MANY driver installs and uninstalls, I never had a problem with XP "refusing" to install the drivers.
