Running a P4 (2.8Ghz/800Mhz FSB) w/.5GB RAM, 80GB storage, dual display, M-Audio 1010LT, using unbalanced RCA in/outs to a Mackie board through the RCA tape in/out ports. The church soundman specified using the RCA jacks on the Mackie so don't yell at me.

We are getting a signal on the 1010LT control panel when playing DVDs (or whatever) on the PC, but apparently we are only getting one channel to the mains. While this is a big concern, what is also weird is that while we are getting a stereo signal on the control panel (channels 1 and 2 although we can only hear channel 2) we are also getting a signal on channel 4, albeit no sound through the mains.

Note that no cable is run to the RCA plug number 4 on the 1010LT.

So, here is the 1010LT control panel jumping on 1,2, and 4, and we are only hearing channel 2.

When we move the cable back and forth the sound comes from the left or right speaker, depending. All cables test out fine.

Any thoughts?? I'll be talking to M-Audio about this too.

Check your control panel you should be listening with the Wav out 1/2 selected. The mackie tape outs should be plugged into wav in 1/2 of the delta.
