I noticed LynxTwo had a driver update for WDM last week. ANyone tried it? Any luck?
I would like to install one with my Delta 1010 and have them play nice and have no problems, and run WDM. Is this likely? Unlikely? Anyone tried it? As it is, my Delta WDM drivers are so frigging stable its scary.

So, whats the word? I found a Lynx for $500 and would like to know what I gotta do to work it out. Or, should I just install it, live with my usual 8 tracks for drums, and then use the Lynx for all the overdubs? Kind of use them seperate. Is that possible?
I do not want trouble.
Thanks
Paul

The WDM running on my Lynx II was too stuttery by nature. You have to start playback, wait for it to stutter and stop, then restart every project after which it would run. This got annoying, however the Lynx guys indicated this would happen so no surprise.

The first time the soundcard profiles in Sonar, the latency was around 98ms, way too high for anything but mixing. Tracking would be a nightmare at this high a number. The interesting thing is that since the new drivers came out, they are all in the same bundle. This means you can jump back and forth between ASIO and WDM in Sonar, also in Giga GSIF is available.

If you use ASIO and then run profile, the latency goes down to around 2.6 or 5.8 with about 256 buffers. Now if you jump back to the WDM, run profile again, the WDM gets down to 5.8ms which is useable. I am not sure why it takes this step to get lower WDM latency but that was my experience which I can duplicate over and over if I remove the drivers then reinstall.

So, in the end I went back to ASIO because these drivers were extremely stable. The WDM would work for you though, just be aware that the drivers are still beta and you may get some strange aberrations.

Have you tried ASIO4ALL???, www.asio4all.com
I´m using them with my Delta 1010lt, as Middleman said latency is almost 3ms, but sometimes I can hear crackles and buzzes that makes me stop and play again....finally everything is ok.
Also once in a while the green leds from SONAR turns so slow during playback, does it ever happen to you??
