I posted about how me and my friends got to track this song and one other in a studio about a month and a half ago. This is what I've got for it right now. All the pieces were done in the studio except the vocals which are just a scratch track for now to lay down his ideas. There aren't even real words in the bridge yet, but he's got some for it now and we'll be going back to the studio to do the vocals again soon.

I haven't worked on this in about 2 weeks now, and i hear things that I want to change so I plan to do an entire remixing of it after the new vox are there and just from the ground up.
Anyway, some critiques on this version would be great so I can figure out where I might need to rethink some more.

Here it is, "Lucky Day"

Any thoughts on my mix, guys? I really need to get these tracks right for these dudes

Has alot of potential, tight playing, nice boppin groove.

I think the way the lead guitar comes in right in the beginning is completely out of place, I personly wouldnt have anything in the first verse, to me it belongs to the vox.

The kick could use some top, its kind of murky.

The mix sounds a bit bass light, no real nice low end.

Hope that helps, Re-post when you get it done, I like the song.

I agree with PdP the lead guitar seems out of place at the beginning of the song. Hold out til 2:30 and start it there to me that part screams insert guitar here. I would like to hear the finish product.
