I have pretty much decided on the DMP3, but the lowest I can find is $149 including shipping. Anyone know of anywhere to get this unit cheaper? It kills me that Guitar Cnetr was selling them for $119 a while ago.

That's a good price with shipping. Not as good as 119, but what are you gonna do? From what I hear, it's worth the money. Just tell people you got it for 119, they'll never know the difference.

Yeah, but my wallet will no the difference. I could just wait it out and keep looking for one on Ebay from a private seller. That may be what I do.

Full Compass, $141, ask for Joel Pare

I got it for $140 shipping and all. I guess that's not bad, considering it sounds as good as units costing two or three times as much.

I also just purchased a much more important set of items for my sound. I just purchased 16 lynrd type corner bass traps for my room.

Cool... but how come you didnt use 2 inch Owens-Corning703 or 705 instead of Lenrds?
Where did you get the price on the DMP3?

Well, I went with the foam bass traps because I just didn't feel like messing with covering the damn corning panels with fabric, then trying to hang them in the corners. Plus, I would have to drive 40 miles to get them. The foam doesn't absorb as low as the corning, but they will be easier to mount, and I'll be able to sell them on Ebay if and when I decide to get some rigid fiberglass. I tried some rockwool one time, and that shit like to have killed me. It flaked off little fibers by the millions. It would just crumble. That shit was 4 inches thick, and the panels were heavry. I ended up throwing 70 dollars worth of that shit in the dump. It was a horrible experience. I am simply not any good at building anything. I am a guitar player, and that's about the end of my boundries. I also got a sweet deal on the traps. I paid only 50 bucks for each four pack. That's just over 12 bucks per trap or something. Hell, I could make my money back on them, but it's so nice to be able to hang them with push pins. That's how I hand all my foam. They absorb only down to around a 100 hz, but at least it's better than not having anything at all for the lower range. Besides, I can still get some 703 and make a couple extra traps, and still have my foam traps to go along the top of the walls, and in maybe two corners of the room, and then two corners of 703.

As for the DMP3, I got it from audiosyncrazy or some such place. They had the DMP3's on Ebay for $198. I sent them an Email asking why they were charging more than anyone else. WEe got into a back and forth, and I told them I knew the dealer cost was $119, and finally they said they would take $140 and send it to my door.
