low volume on CD

I may have the wrong forum for this.

I recorded this song. Sounds good so far.

I mixed down the trax to stereo. Okay

Listened to the "final" and sounded fine. Can clean it up later in another recording.

Burn the trak onto a cd WITHIN THE MACHINE and finalize.

Listen to CD on player.

Volume so low that its irritating.

What did I not do right or do wrong?

If this is in the wrong forum please point me in the right direction.

That would be covered in the Mixing/Mastering forum. Try a search there for "low volume" and see what comes up.
