Hi, I'm currently using a single samson C03 but I would like start recording in stereo using two mic's, should I stick with the Samson and compliment it with another C03 or should I buy two newer mics? my budget is very low, appr £100 per mic, I need good mid/ hi-mid detail and would like my recordings to be as faithful as possible without using a clamp or bridge pick up etc, the mic's will be on stands.

Any recommendations would be most welcome.

Get a mic that has omni capabilities And get it a foot or two away (you'll need to experiment) That should produce a favorable recording.

Recording a violin in stereo? I assume you have a large room?
