Ok...I'm going thru the tutorial of my new SonarXL2.2 and find tht the tutorial is different than what I have. My controls show Loop From, Thru, Loop Start, Loop End. The tutorial only mentions loop from and loop thru. The pictures show only two windows of controls but my program has four. Is this just a change in 2.2 that the manual and tutorial don't reflect? I don't see the purpose of four controls for two functions....?

The "Loop Start" and "Loop End" is controller for the Looping function. "From" and "Thru" is just the selected area and has nothing to do with loopin (unless you have selected an area to loop). ;)

uhh...sure!

BTW...I also got drumatics and I'm sitting at my work computer creating drum parts... Just the ability to make these way cool parts is worth the price! These drum loops are the first I've eer worked with and are light years better than working with my Roland R8MkII for making songs. I'm going to import some AIFF files from my Alesis HD24 this weekend and try to write some drum parts for some stuff that has no drums using these loops. Boy is this fun!

I'm curious...say I record a midi part from my Quadrasynth. When it plays back, does it play back the Quad sounds or the soundblaster sounds? I'm guessing to take advantage of all these virtual synths, I'm going to need a way better sound card.

That depends on how you route the signals. If you have the synth connected to you computer with both MIDI In and Out, you can ofcourse playback with the sounds on your synth. :)
