I'm a Pro Tools user attempting to make a couple of songs in the vein of old PC game MIDI music from the late 80s & early 90s.
While I can emulate the "chiptune" sound of the 8-Bit music era with synthesis, I'm having a harder time trying to emulate that distinct MIDI sound from old AdLib, Wave Blaster, Gravis, and Roland sound cards.
This is essentially the sound I'm going for: LGR - Evolution of PC Audio - As Told by Secret of Monkey Island - YouTube
Anyone know of any virtual instruments, libraries, or programs that emulate these particular sounds?
Thanks!
