Hi there,
first post here, and i look forward to learning what i can.

Anyway i did a search and cannot find any of the info im looking for.
Im looking a pair of comfortable lightweight good sounding headphones that dont "color" the sound.
ill be wearing them on my commute by bicycle to work, recording some guitar, as well as at home relaxing. The sennheiser hd 437 (cheap) design looks very good, but ive been reading horrible reviews on their sound/comfort.
I do prefer the type of earpads that lay over your ear, and not the leather looking ones that enclose over and around the ear.
Folding would be a bonus but not needed.
i cant seem to find a set of quality headphones with my prefs in mind.
Ill stop by best buy in a little bit to see what they have. Thanks for any replies :)

i should also state that these should be mid size headphones. Not TOO big (ie sony 7506/akg k44) , but not too flimsy a pair either.
Ive been looking at senn, akg, sony, but cant find anything thats looks like what i have in mind (besides the senn hd437)

any advice would be appreciated.

I use Sony MDR-V150 headphones ($20, Wal-Mart), and so does timboz. Very good sound, even for 5x the price. I've gotten enough practice with them that I can rough in a mix pretty decently.

Doesn't Carvin make any? :p

How long ago did you get those? Are they still available? For $20 I could always use another pair.

I think Target's got them, too.

Well, that is closer! And I can stop by Marsh while I'm at it. :D

Oh, sorry. You guys continue your discussion. I've got shopping to do.

Saw them at bestbuy tonight for 21$, but i did a froogle and see them as cheap at 8.63 elsewhere!
Would you say these is a rugged set of cans?
But really, im looking for something more comfortable than these without that donut against my ear. call me crazy, but I just find it to be uncomfortable.
Check out the HD437 Sennheisers and youll see what i mean.
Too bad the reviews of them are hgorrible.
thanks guys
