looking for Jazz licks aug dim

Hello all. Glad to visit and equally glad to have heard a great jazz quintet last night. All perforermers were wonderful. On to the point: I noticed the GP utilized a lot of Aug and Dim scales as transition to subdominant and dominant chords. The changes would then, in true jazz form, either move to a 251 to resolve to the head, or continue on, and as the tune built tension in anticipation of the upcoming resolution. Okay. Do any musicians here (particulary GP's and Horn/br/ww. transposition not a problem on sheet) have some tab or sheet music that have licks that are helpful. I would love to have some accurate tab on the use of appogiatura, leading tone slides or skips to chord tones, and chromatic resolution from one V7 chord to I. Groovey licks for 251 always welcome.

I have a couple ideas but time and general laziness prevent application to the fingerboard, thus I send this beacon.
 
Look for "Chords & Progressions for Jazz & Popular Guitar" by Arnie Berle (UK ISBN 0.7119.1076.6 or US ISBN 0.88256.1056.7); it may be helpful to pick up and use the exercises.
 
cant help with the lick based soloing idea as piano(and for that matter most instruments other than guitar) doesn't lend itself to that idea... the problem being every key is fingered different so what works in C doesnt in C#...

but some things to think about....

there are only 2 diminished scales... so it's just a matter of deciding if you prefer whole-half or half-whole for movement...

diminished chords (there are only three) are often functionaly the upper portion of a b9 chord this makes them the most powerful chords there are... it contains two separate tritones and can resolve four different ways...

aug chords lend themselves to "going outside" the key so very little limits them at times.... they also are obvious candidates for wholetone scales... they also function very well as a V7b13 but when used like this it often wants to resolve to a minor...
