hi all
i am looking to upgrade from my Korg D16
i am looking for analog and digital in and outs for multiple channels (up to 24), i want to be able to use a mackie 1642 board for analog mixing, looking to spend not more than $5k including monitor, cd burner and input boards and cables.
(I currently have an Apogee Rosetta and a Lucid DA9624, this would stay with the new system as well) - i have been looking at Mackie HDR and Roland 2880

what's out there?? what to avoid???

thanks for any input

dan

I'm sellin my HDR

Mackie HDR wit 24 adat light pipe ins and outs for $3,000

I just picked up the new Alesis HD24. Haven't had it long but so far I'm REAL happy with it. It was $2000 sales tax and all out the door.

mcguin, can I assume this is a home studio application or are you planning on doing recording for others ?

If you are doing home studio stuff for yourself, the prosumer suggestions will do just fine. But, if you are planning on charging other users and would like to do this professionally I suggest you look at some thing like the Radar.

Good luck and have fun.

Alesis Hd24 1800.00
Alesis Masterlink 900.00
Monitor 200.00 take your pick

That will get you there for under 3000
