Nuendo 1.6...is The Best For Me. It's Old But It's Really Good..if You Can Get It. Keep It..its Really Great!!..

Also, Get The Universal Plugin's....they Have Almost Everything Ya Want..tons Of Compressors.effect's...etc.

I've been happy with Sonar. Great workflow for me, and it's come a long way and seems to only be getting better. Great sequencing features too.

You might do well with cheaper solutions too - something like Cakewalk's home studio stuff. Just a thought as it seems a lot of people are happily using their lower-end products (lower-end for lack of a better term).
