Looking for a new acoustic guitar

Need some suggestions. My current acoustic guitar is a Fender DG series and it sounds a bit thin on my Naiant. I've tried different angle but it still seems lacking the necessary bottom. Would anyone recommend some other model that's within the 5-600 bucks range? Or if it's a room treatment issue (I record in my basement), any suggestion is welcomed.

Also, my basement seems to have a lot of interference on my electronic instruments. Is it because the plug is not grounded?

Sorry for the newbie questions. Thanks for the help!

I bought one of those Ibanez Exotic wood series guitars a few years back and couldn't be happier. I was looking into getting a cheap Martin or Taylor, which I'm glad I didn't because I would have spent a lot more money for a lot less guitar. It sounds great mic'ed or direct in.
As far as the electric problems, I'm no electrician by any means, so I'm not even going to attempt to give a suggestion.

Thanks Kung Fu master :) Let me see if there's any on Craigslist.

I'm also looking because right now I have a resonator which is great for slide playing but is way too twangy for chord playing plus it hurts like an SOB because the action is so high

I audiotioned a bunch of accoustics last weekend and I think I'm going to go with a Martin 000-15 made out of mahogany (no electronics)

Not real load but really well ballanced throughout without the super heavy bass you can get with dreadnaughts and a nice tone
Probably not a good guitar for banging out live unmiced stuff but for recording miced in a quiet environment I really liked it

Yamaha also makes a dreadnought with the low end you might be seeking. I played my friends, thought it was $800 or $900, turns out it was $300!

In that price range, I'd look at Alvarez and Seagull.
