Local Spiderman
I'm looking to buy a LDC, mostly for vocals.
And the vocals will be mostly from the voice in the top two songs of this page:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=378368

Kind of a tenor-y, smooth, bluesy voice, I guess.

I have a few songs of my friend there recorded through a MXL990.. but it just doesn't sound right.

I was looking at the TB1. But I would like recommendations for anything through the 250 dollar price range.

It would be recorded through a DMP3 mostly.

Thanks for the help.

Also, someone posted a link for a Listening Sessions mic chart thing once, but I can't seem to find it. A chart of where, graphically, a bunch of mics compare in relation to one another... dark, bright, neutral, colored. Can someone direct me to that?

World Goes Round...

Is that original?
PLEASE SAY NO.
As for the mic, why not the MXL 990.
Sounds like you guys are influenced by INXS. Those lyrics suck, but the musicians are good. Singer has a good vibrato. Are yall going for a funky group of 49 year olds with soul patches, flower shirts, and kangol hats?

In that price range, I bouthg an AT4040, and it seems pretty clear for the price. No real experience with anything else, just a note that mine works for me. It was
$300 with a shockmount and shipping included.

haha, that's an interesting mix of criticism, sarcasm, and compliment.

Alright, thanks for the input; I'll look into it.

Anyone else?

Does anyone at least know the mic chart I'm talking about?

I can find the link neither on this site nor on the Listening Sessions' site.
