looking for a computer interface

looking for one of these in the 1-300 dollar price range. I think I will buying a preamp or two one of which being the dmp3. I want something that I can plug into the comp, then plug the preamp in and run it just fine. Any ideas are helpfull. I will be recording at least vocals and guitar at the same time through different mics and maybe looking to do some stereo stuff through the preamps.

internal, external whatever you think is top of the line, in the price range and would do good for me
 
So...You already have the pre amps? If you dont, i would suggest maybe trying to spend a little more and get an interface with built in pre's. Why dont you look at the Presonus Firebox? That has up to 6 inputs with 6 outs, with built in pre's. Theyre not crappy ones either, very good ones :)

I will look into this thanks. However I would end up getting the dmp3 because I could record in stereo with it easily and vtb1 or something like that cause its good for vocals. Anyone have any other suggestions interal or external?
 
I just bought a Terratec EWS88MT which has 8 in/8out analoguie and SPDIF.

It performs damn sweet in SX and there are several threads of praise about them here, mine cost £100 off ebay.
