Seeker of Rock

Let us be unburdened by that which has been ?
Universal Audio products I believe are hard-wired, or discreet, correct? Tube as well, as I understand. I'm also looking at the new Meek series, oneQ or even twinQ. Research says, latter made in China but decent parts and engineering where the $$ was saved as Alan has conveyed on here. UA LA-610 and 6176 are both tube-based pres I believe. Anyway, doing basic rock, some harder rock, some acoustic and vocals, some...well, maybe similar in instrumentation to Wish You Were Here album I guess is the type of instrumentation and arrangements I make. MSR-16 recorder, Mackie 24.8 board.
Joe Meek is obviously less money for a master pre for vox, guitar, bass. I have an MQ3 that I like, but have outgrown the sound I feel.
Any ideas between the LA-610 and twinQ? Looked at others as well, Toft, DAV, Grace, RNP, but these are the two that seem to fit me best. Alternate ideas always welcome :)

Oh well. I ended up bidding on a VC1Qcs. I would imagine it will be here in a week or so. I was looking at the OneQ as well, and it is probably the better all-around unit but I tend to write and record what Joemeeks seem to do best on, basic rock. Always loved the MQ3 and will absolutely keep it. We'll see if the new unit is a little more flexible, which it looks to be. I'll have to run an a/b to, just to compare the two as far as overall sonic differences or similarities.
