"I don't know sh!t, calling my self a producer...what the hell is a motu 896, the best and only 24/96 sound card is the Extigy. and all pro studios run sonar, dumb fu$@, WTH is Nuendo? i'm not gonna let you produce my songs you fuc#%in con artist"

damn i wanted to smack the sh!t out of him.. but he's the stupid one, and i don't wanna produce someone that thinks they know everything.. the kid had talent, he can rap, and write some good songs, freestyle too... but i'd end up killing him in the studio...
just had to vent real quick. anyone else ever go though some BS like this???
 
I owned a wholesale/retail/rental sound reinforcement company. I`d hear somekinda crap like that from a client here and there. I just say "well, turn on your shit and show me if you know so friggen much, let's hear it. What? you got no stuff?...next?"

hehehe i loved it sometimes... of course I`d have already caved his head in like a dixie cup in my mind. and depended on if he had the check. :)
 
Damn C9, I've experienced similar shit to this in software development. I'd lay into him BIG TIME for ridiculous comments like that. But like you said, he's the stupid one and will surely encounter problems with his ignorance and attitude. ;)

...maybe someday I'll be able to afford an Extigy and Sonar. Until then I guess I'll just have to get by with my C-Port and Nuendo. Hey - maybe you can give that guy my number and he can do some mastering for me.

the thing that got me, i asked him what mic does he record with now, b/c i was playing a cdr he brought to me... it didn't sound that good, and he start saying its my monitors, b/c it sound perfect in his car...come to see he recorded with a no nane condenser...lets just say a mxl2001 would sound like a u87ai vs the crap he brought me...

so since MY monitors must be wrong and sound bad... i put his cd in my car, and my moms...
my car has focal utopia speakers in it.. bottom line, the best speakers you can buy. his stuff was garbage.distortion like crazy, no compression at all...harsh hi's...etc..

he gonna tell me he work with pastor troy,TI,big boi, jazzy pha..and even my boy wiz , and i know he don't work wit wiz.. he full of it, i have half their numbers in my pocket pc, and i know he doesn't want me to call...i'm in the middle of selling a track to TI. i just hate when ppl act like they know everything and don't know shit..
i'm not gonna front and act like i'm the best producer/engineer.. i'm not, shit i'm a 18year old that knows shit though... i won't be down at SAE til spring. after i finnish down there, then i can have some bragging rights... but i know what the hell i'm doing, and do what i do with confidence and passion for making music...

Why hell yes dude, it's no wonder why every pro studio studio in the world uses the blaster/extigy; i mean $149 and with a remote control!!!!! I mean walk into any pro studio in the world & what do you see? It sure isn't some little pro fools toys, or motu-it's the $149 extigy. I can't beleive you don't have enuff of a conscience that you would actually take someone's money, and record them on a second rate mac using a motu 896? shame on you! HE HE

Oooops, sorry-maybe you're not using macs & DP-nevermind!

Yeah, those are the one's to send on down the road; learn to discren!

Myself - 3) macs, DP, 2408, 1224, neuman's, akg's, etc, etc.

MOTU/PRO TOOLS RULE

no macs over here, custom built PCs...i'm thinking about getting a 896 to replace my delta 1010
