I am looking into buying a better computer speaker type system so I can be more mobile with my laptop rig, like a Blue sky exo2 system, to get by with.

In the meantime, I have two powered 6" woofer nearfields cabs and a powered subwoofer. I kept the boxes for all the speakers, 3 total. I am looking into getting a storage unit Sooooooo;

Do I need to look into a heated unit or is a plain, well sealed unit fine?

How do I prevent mold, mildew, dry rot, etc damage to the speakers while in their original boxes in the storage unit?? I thought about buying dessicate packets that I find in certain items that are shipped to me to control moisture, but other than that, I am kind of lost on what to do here??

I had a pair of 15" JBL's in storage for 5 years. No climate control. The suspensions dried out and had to be re-coned. I am guessing this was due to the extreme temperature fluctuations.
