the problem i am having is it is not compatible with windows vista 64 bit. it is however compatible with the 32 bit version (or 24bit, cant remember). its my friends mixer and his computer so its not really my problem but i do however write, play, and record music with him so i do want to get it working. apparently alesis will release a new driver soon to accomondate all windows versions. this is good news, however cubase sx3 isnt compatible with the 64 bit version of windows. this is rather annoying fo my friend as he just bought the pc. are there any soulutions, or would it be best just to get a firewire card for my laptop. im running windows xp home edition service pack 2 (is it compatible with this version)
the amount of problems i had setting it up on my friends old pc was also very difficult but i did get there in the end. once i done it though it worked flawlessly. i would not recommend this to anyone who hasnt got a lot of patience as its a right bitch to get installed. go for the phonic firewire mixers or the mackie ones if you have more cash
