and a retarded one at that.

I have a digital mixer and an external cd burner, so I've always mixed down to a digital audio cd.

How do I take the tracks and bounce them down to a stereo .wav file without the external burner, and still be able to work with the individual tracks later?

Thanks. :o

Isn't there an export or mixdown option? This'll give you a seperate stereo mixdown file (in your chosen format) and the complete project in Logic should be retained.

I don't work with logic but these things are usually pretty much the same across the different apps.

there is an option to bounce under File. you can also bounce the tracks using the bounce button on the main output track. Before you bounce, it asks you what format you want to bounce the tracks. Rename the file to what you want it and bounce. you can also have it automatically add to your itunes library if you want (there is a check box option for that on the bounce screen)

Okay, now we're making progress. If I bounce it from the Master Output, it means I have to run all tracks through 1 stereo channel. Correct?

Because I have the mixer, I normally send 16 channels out seperately.

So in order to create a .wav file, I need to have the mix ready within Logic's mixer. Right?

hmm wait. i may have been fooled by your title. Logic Question...

are you only working with a digital recorder here or are you using Apple's Logic software?
