Like...... .........hi, hey is there anyone here that is well versed in the use of Logic Platinums plug ins/fx. I am currently using them extensively in the environment window and it crashes a fair bit. I am told that this is quite easily solved by "bussing" the Logic inserts (fx). Apparantly you can select the fx you want to use ,apply and edit in the bus section and you use the send / return function ....?....somethin' like that. Can anyone possibly help.?

cheers Dave.

Fx Routing

Dave,

If you have multiple tracks using the same effect, like reverb for vocals, you can apply that effect to a bus and then send all the tracks that use the effect to that bus for processing. Just put the effect on the insert of one of the busses, just like you would on an audio track. Then select the appropriate bus from the dropdown menu in the "Send" section of the audio tracks (it's located just under the inserts) and use the little circular slider next to the send to select the amount of signal you want to go to the bus. The audio signal then goes from the audio track to the bus where it is processed by the effect and then to the master output. This will save you some CPU resources if you're using the same effect on multiple tracks.

Good luck!
