Logic Audio Big Box

Hello I've searched this topic and read the information but my questions weren't answered. I'm contemplating getting the Logic Audio Big BOx because it seems like a great deal with all the extras! I have a pc and I am aware that emagic has gone mac but what problems will this impose? I'm always going to be able to record and add the included sampler and synth. Is it just that I won't be able to update it? I appreciate any feedback. If you think this software is a bad idea please give me an alternative plus maybe a good quality soft synth all in the "under 299" usd range. Thanks

I think the big box is logic silver. You'll be able to update it to version 5.3 (I think, but check emagic's site to be sure, they'll also have the specs for the version of logic that's in that big 'ol box).

I also think you'll be able to upgrade to platinum (for some cash).

Even given Logic's sale to apple, if I were just starting out with a pc, I'd really consider getting this. The EXS24 is a great piece of software.
